Thank you for the questions:
1) $350 is what it costs in my area for a pre-licensing class, we use Rockwell institute, but there are many out there. Just be sure they are a reputable company that provides everything you need to meet your state’s requirements and that they have a good success record.
2) Once you have your license it is typically not hard (read too easy) to get picked up with a brokerage. The question usually is not, what company wants you….but rather which company do YOU want to work with. Having said that this would be a great question to pose to the broker you are interviewing. Be sure to interview several and talk with some of their agents as well.

I went for an interview at Weichert Realtors for a position, the interviewer was very positive and wants me to sign up for classes that cost $350.00, is this a standard practice and am I guarenteed a job when I pass the class?
